A New Era Begins
Dear Friends and Supporters of the Alabama Ballet,
It is with great excitement and anticipation that we welcome you to the Alabama Ballet’s 2024-2025 season, “Evolution: A New Era Begins.” This season promises to be a transformative journey, filled with creativity, innovation, and artistic excellence.
We are thrilled to begin our season with “At Home: Art in Motion,” a groundbreaking collaboration with the Birmingham Museum of Art. This series will feature new works created in partnership with the museum, showcasing the intersection of visual and performing arts in a unique and inspiring way.
Continuing our season, we will present the timeless classic, George Balanchine’s “The Nutcracker®,” a holiday tradition beloved by audiences of all ages. This production will enchant and delight, capturing the magic of the season.
We are also delighted to announce the Birmingham premiere of “Peter Pan,” a whimsical and enchanting production that will transport audiences to the magical world of Neverland.
As we conclude our season, we invite you to join us for “Unbound: A Series of Ever-Evolving Performances.” This series will feature “Under the Lights,” set to the music of Johnny Cash, as well as a world premiere by the internationally known dancer and choreographer, James Whiteside. These performances will showcase the artistic innovation and excellence that define the Alabama Ballet.
