Join the Alabama Ballet Parent Guild for Raising the Barre: From Studio to Stage, an intimate evening created exclusively for Alabama Ballet School students and their families.
Featuring American Ballet Theatre Principal Dancer Skylar Brandt, this special event will offer students a rare opportunity to experience ballet beyond the classroom through performance, conversation, and connection.
The evening will include “Anatomy of a Step”, a student-performed demonstration; a live Q&A with the artistic leadership of Alabama Ballet School including Christopher Stuart; a special performance by Skylar Brandt; and a moderated Q&A with Skylar, giving students the opporunity to hear directly from one of today’s leading ballet artists.
Proceeds from Raising the Barre will directly support the Alabama Ballet Parent Guild’s efforts to provide meaningful enrichment opportunities and experiences for Alabama Ballet School students.
This is a private event for families of students currently enrolled in the Alabama Ballet School through the Advanced Level.
Ticket packages are $150 and include one Adult and one Student ticket.

Join the Alabama Ballet Parent Guild
The Alabama Ballet School Parent Guild is a parent community created to support the students, families, faculty, and mission of Alabama Ballet School.
Through volunteer service, school-approved fundraising, community-building, and enrichment support, the Guild gives parents a meaningful way to contribute to the life of the school. This is not simply a fundraising group. It is a way for families to come together in support of something larger: the growth, artistry, discipline, confidence, and connection of our students.
Families are an important part of every student’s training journey. The Parent Guild offers parents and guardians a clear, welcoming, and organized way to support Alabama Ballet School while helping create additional opportunities for students and the broader school community.
Some parents may have time to volunteer. Some may have professional skills to share. Some may be able to support fundraising or community events. All forms of participation matter — the Guild is designed to make parent involvement constructive, mission-aligned, and helpful to the school.
