Katie Haigh, originally from Atlanta, Georgia, began her training at Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance under Susan Beebe and Carly Hammond Meister, where she has trained with the same faculty for 15 years. She has attended prestigious programs including the Juilliard Summer Program, The Rock School, and Miami City Ballet Summer Intensive, and performed with Complexions Contemporary Ballet in their 30th Anniversary Gala at the Joyce Theater. Katie has also had the opportunity to work with Dwight Rhoden, Desmond Richardson, Garrett Smith, and many other choreographers.
At Atlanta Academy of Ballet and Dance, Katie performed roles including Odile in Swan Lake, Aurora in The Sleeping Beauty, Gerda in The Snow Queen, and Dew Drop in The Nutcracker. She was recognized as an Outstanding Soloist at Regional Dance America Southeast for three consecutive years, including recognition at the national level, and has also received many awards at renowned ballet competitions nationwide. Katie is excited to begin her first season with Alabama Ballet’s Studio Company and continue sharing her passion for dance.
