Humberto started dancing at the age of eight in Brazil. He moved to America in 2014 to attend the Harid Conservatory for her freshman year of high school. In 2016, Humberto graduated and received a contract with Charlotte Ballet II, where he danced for two years before being promoted to the main company. While in the second company, he performed roles with the main company and participated in outreach performances around the community. During his eight years as a company dancer with Charlotte Ballet, Humberto danced principal roles such as Prince Désiré in Sleeping Beauty and Fourth Couple in Petite Mort. He also performed works such as George Balanchine’s Raymonda staged by Patricia McBride, and Pas de Trois in Swan Lake. He also performed works by Alonzo King, Jiří Kylián, Ohad Naharin, Mthuthuzeli November, Christopher Stuart, Helen Pickett, and Alejandro Cerrudo. Humberto is looking forward to her first season with Alabama Ballet.
