Elizabeth Gamble

Elizabeth Gamble, a Birmingham native, is happy to return to the Alabama Ballet.   Favorite roles include Giselle and Peasant Pas in Giselle, Swanhilda in Coppelia, Cowgirl in Agnes de Mille’s Rodeo and as Lusty in 3 Virgins and the Devil.  She has performed in Christopher Bruce’s Rooster, in Twyla Tharp’s Nine Sintra Songs, Baker’s Dozen and as a Stomper In The Upper Room.   She has also performed in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® as the Sugarplum Fairy, Lead Marzipan and Dewdrop as well as Allegro Brillante.   Other notable works include Bonnie in Roger VanFleteren’s Bonnie and Clyde, Pigtails in Graduation Ball, Amore’ in Don Quixote, in Jiri Kylian’s Sechs Tanza, Sir Frederick Ashton’s Les Patineurs, and Anthony Tudor’s Lilac Garden.  Some contemporary works include Michael Fothergill’s Chiaroscuro and as Woman in Nadine Barton’s Watts. Elizabeth is on faculty at the Alabama Ballet School and with the Alabama Ballet Tappers.  She is thankful for the opportunity to share her love of dance.
