Meredith Hwang grew up in Potomac, Maryland, and trained at Metropolitan Ballet Theater and Academy. At age 16, she moved to Boston to train at the Boston Ballet School. She had the opportunity to perform in Mikko Nissinen’s The Nutcracker, George Balanchine’s Coppelia, and Sir Frederick Ashton’s Cinderella with the company. In 2020, she joined Charlotte Ballet II and was promoted to the main company in 2022. While at Charlotte Ballet, Meredith had the opportunity to perform works by Christopher Stuart, Jean-Pierre Bonnefoux, Helen Pickett, Alejandro Cerrudo, Matthew Hart, and many more. She has attended summer intensives at Nashville Ballet, Carolina Ballet, School of American Ballet, Pacific Northwest Ballet, Boston Ballet, and San Francisco Ballet. In 2023, Meredith joined Alabama Ballet and has performed in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, Christopher Stuart’s Under the Lights, and numerous other ballets.
