Horus Hudgins began his formal ballet training with Quenedit Ballet School under Ernesto Quenedit and Catalina Garza in San Antonio, TX. He received the Aspire Award from Universal Ballet Competition in 2023. Horus then joined Orlando Ballet as a trainee, where he performed with the company in Jorden Morris’ World Premiere of The Nutcracker, Christopher Stowell’s The Sleeping Beauty, and in the U.S. premiere of Casanova, a full-length ballet by Kenneth Tindall. Since joining the Alabama Ballet, Horus has enjoyed performing in A Light That Burned My Eyes, choreography by Michael Matthews, EQUALIBRIUM, choreography by Aidan Nettles, and George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® as Hot Chocolate, Honey Bee in Tea, and Candy Cane. Additionally, he has performed as Michael and Crocodile in Christopher Stuart’s Peter Pan and in Christopher Stuart’s Johnny Cash ballet ‘Under the Lights’: an ode to the Man in Black.
