Hannah Waldon

NEW YORK, NEW YORK

Born in Queens, New York, Hannah began her training locally before training at Manhattan Youth Ballet under Deborah Wingert (New York City Ballet). In addition, she spent her junior year of high school training at Walnut Hill School for the Arts under Michael Owen and Denise Lewis (American Ballet Theater) before completing her training at Kansas City Ballet School. Upon graduating in 2022, she was offered a trainee position with the Kansas City Ballet, where she remained for two seasons. While dancing with KCB, she performed works by Devon Carney (The Nutcracker, Giselle, Cinderella, Peter Pan), George Balanchine (Emeralds), and Val Canaparoli (Jekyll and Hyde). She was also able to learn and understudy works by Alexander Ekman (Cacti) and Mark Morris (Sandpaper). In 2024, she joined Ballet Tucson as an apprentice under the direction of Margaret Mullin. There, she had the opportunity to perform in many works, the most memorable being George Balanchine’s Rubies and Kiyon Ross’ ə{Schwa}. Hannah is looking forward to her first season with Alabama Ballet!
