Dagny began her early dance training through the Madison Studio of Dance Education under the direction of Jane Madison in Macon, Georgia. She spent her summers studying at American Ballet Theatre in NYC and San Francisco Ballet. At 15, she was invited to study with the Atlanta Ballet pre-professional program on merit scholarship. While there, she had the opportunity to perform in Yuri Possokhov’s The Nutcracker, La Sylphide staged by Johan Kobborg, and George Balanchine’s Serenade staged by Robert Barnett. Prior to joining Alabama Ballet as an apprentice in 2022, Dagny danced professionally with Louisville Ballet as a studio company member, performing soloist roles in ballets by Val Caniparoli, Robert Curran, Adam Hougland, and Emeralds by George Balanchine. Since joining Alabama Ballet as an apprentice, her favorite roles include Grandma and Flower in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, Friend of Coppelia and Betrothal Couple in Roger VanFleteren’s Coppelia, and Berthe and Friend of Giselle in Roger VanFleteren’s Giselle.
