CAITLIN MCAVOY

Overland Park, Kansas

Caitlin began her training at the age of three at Miller Marley School of Dance and Voice in Overland Park, Kansas. She continued her year-round ballet training at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet under the direction of Marcia Dale Weary. After graduation, Caitlin was accepted into the San Francisco Ballet School under the direction of Lola de Avila. Prior to joining Alabama Ballet, Caitlin was a trainee at Boston Ballet under the direction of Margaret Tracey, and a member of Nashville Ballet II. Since joining Alabama Ballet, her favorite roles include Coffee in George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker®, Myrtha in Giselle, and the soloist in Jamorris Rivers’ The Purple Ones.
